The Ingenico i5100 is a very fast machine, transaction and returning authorizations are done in mere seconds by utilizing a 32-bit processor to offer 33.6K bits per second transaction speed with a V34 modem. The key are simple and easy to read with a bright backlit so all of the keys light up at night time to make reading and keying in information easily legible. The integrated printer uses terminal printing so there is no need to replace the ink because it’s not necessary.
The Ingenico 5100 is one of the most secure and easy to use credit card machines, offering merchants the flexibility to cover most of their needs. For instance, the printing time is greatly reduced by printing 15 lines per second over a high speed modem to reduce transaction time and reduce the time it takes customers to stand in line waiting to sign their receipt. Merchants have the option to choose what type of network connection they want because the 5100 is both a Dial-up and Ethernet (high speed) terminal. Also has an optional WIFI module for short range connection.
Designed for fast debit and credit card transaction, the Ingenico 5100 comes equipped with a magnetic stripe reader to increase credit and debit/check card pass through success rate. The 5100 is a very secure piece of equipment. It has a Pin pad for merchants who are interested in PIN based debit transaction. The 5100 offers merchants certified security level 1 and 2 smart card reader. Merchant can also pair up the 5100 with the Ingenico 3050 PIN that is specifically designed for retailer and restaurants instead of using the built in PIN pad.
