The Lipman NURIT 2090 functions in much the same way as the 2085 except the 2090 is a wireless credit card machine that has a built in radio signal for wireless connectivity for wireless payment processing. The operating system on this machine will conduct new downloads from a simple menu option when needed. The 2090 has a dual directional smart card reader. Each terminal has a unique ID so reprogramming it is not easily done by third parties as an added security feature for merchants. The various versions have a dual track and a two way card reader that consist of 2400 bps modem and a 256KB of RAM space.
