Wells Fargo has been named the best internet bank in the United States for two years in a row by Global Finance when several banks were compared during a consumer Internet Bank competition. The consumer category in which Wells Fargo fared better than its competitors were: for having the best internet web site design in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and usability, best acquisition when it comes to depositing online, best Presentment and consumer Bill Payment online services, and the best consumer bank with adding and integrating other Consumer bank information, products and services onto their platform.

Wells Fargo’s executive vice president, Jim Smith, says that he is very pleased with the services the company offers its customers, pioneering the online banking space and this being the 15^th year the company took operations online to service their customers with innovative products offering such as text and mobile banking, and will continue to offer customers the tools needed to be successful financially.

Global Finance has been naming the World’s Best Internet Banks for 11 consecutive years now and how they selected the various banks were based on strategy and strength of servicing their existing customer base with online services, attracting new customers, getting their customers to utilize the services they offer online, the year to year growth rate of online customers, amount of products and services the company has to offering online, and the overall design of the company’s website in terms of aesthetics, functionality, user friendliness, usability and ease of use.
